Post by Martin Winchester »

State of San Andreas v. Miguel Escobar

I. OPENING STATEMENT
The Legal Counsel of San Andreas Police Department has assigned Mr. Martin Winchester for this prosecution against Mr. Miguel Escobar.

May it please the court and the honorable judge, to let the prosecution present undeniable evidence against Mr. Miguel Escobar, a man whose crimes extend far beyond average lawbreaking. This is a case of organized crime, suspicious affluent wealth, gigantic stash of narcotics, arsenal of military grade weapons and explosives, smuggled and unlicensed jewelry and gold bars, and heaps of bundled marked currency, affiliation with a criminal organization, and collaboration with a known terrorist.

On the 6th of March, 2025, the Detective Bureau executed a search warrant on two properties under the defendant's ownership after receiving a critical evidence against Miguel Escobar. What they found was staggering; an industrial level of indoor cannabis production, a cache of military grade firearms and explosives, unlicensed jewelry and smuggled gold bars, and a million dollar worth of marked currency, which comes as an evident demonstration of Mr. Miguel Escobar's deep involvement in criminal enterprise.
His apprehension on the 12th of March, 2025, was no less convincing of his criminal deeds as he was audaciously attempting to escape the law, he was found in possession of two Oxycodone pills after transportation to the LSPD station. And the next day, when he was questioned regarding the discovered gigantic amount of illegal firearms and narcotics in his properties, he admitted to indoor production of Cannabis Sativa, being an associated member of the Venturas Crime Syndicate, receiving stolen property, and worst of all, holding and hiding weapons for a known terrorist, Osama Mucahit. His actions not only violate state laws but constitute an act of treason against the state of San Andreas.

The prosecution will lay out the gathered facts and collected evidence in full detail under the third section III. Evidence. By reviewing the documented evidence, there will be no room for doubt. Miguel Escobar is guilty, and justice demands a conviction. We sincerely appreciate the Court's time and effort for giving due consideration to this heinous case.

Interrogation

[16:52:47] * Martin Winchester opens the drawer and takes out a desktop tripod camera and sets its position to fully capture Miguel's face.
[16:52:50] * Martin Winchester activates the camera.
[16:53:24] * The camera would record audio and video from now on. (Martin Winchester)
[16:53:25] It is the 13th of March, 2025. Time is 16:53:25 CET or 22:21 in the game world.
[16:54:27] Martin Winchester says: Today 13th of March, 2025, as of 16:53 CET, I'm Detective Winchester and I'm interrogating Mr. Miguel..
[16:54:27] .. Escobar.
[16:54:50] Martin Winchester says: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of ..
[16:54:50] ..law.
[16:54:50] Martin Winchester says: You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you.
[16:54:50] Martin Winchester says: Do you understand these rights?
[16:54:54] Miguel Escobar says: I do.
[16:55:14] Martin Winchester says: Where did you find those pills?
[16:55:27] Miguel Escobar says: Which ones exactly?
[16:55:42] Martin Winchester says: The one that I seized from you after bringing you here.
[16:56:22] Miguel Escobar says: I delivered a box from a cargo to Montgomery thief, and some guy gave it to me.
[16:56:40] Martin Winchester says: I see.
[16:56:48] Martin Winchester says: Can you give us the name of that guy?
[16:57:04] Miguel Escobar says: Unfortunately, I'm not aware of the guy, never interacted with him before.
[16:57:12] Miguel Escobar says: That was the first and the last time I met him.
[16:57:24] Martin Winchester says: Why would that guy give you something like this?
[16:58:06] Miguel Escobar says: As I said, I delivered a box from a cargo.
[16:58:18] Martin Winchester says: What was the delivery?
[16:58:21] Miguel Escobar says: He gave it to me as a reward.
[16:58:34] Miguel Escobar says: It was a box, I didn't open it. I've no idea what was inside.
[16:58:41] Martin Winchester says: So you accepted those pills as a payment?
[16:59:04] Miguel Escobar says: He gave it to me saying those pills have some extraordinary power.
[16:59:16] Miguel Escobar says: And told me he'll tell me when to use them.
[16:59:26] Miguel Escobar says: Until then I can't take those pills.
[16:59:32] Martin Winchester says: Did you accept those pills as the payment for delivery?
[16:59:50] Miguel Escobar says: Wasn't a payment, he didn't give me any money. Just asked to keep them.
[17:00:03] Miguel Escobar says: I was told that I'll need it.
[17:00:12] Martin Winchester says: But earlier you said he gave it to you as a reward, your statements are contradictory.
[17:00:38] Miguel Escobar says: Yeah he said that's a reward, but basically a capsule can't be a reward financially.
[17:00:53] Miguel Escobar says: I can't buy anything or do anything with that.
[17:00:58] Martin Winchester says: Anything can be a reward or payment.
[17:01:01] Martin Winchester says: You can trade it.
[17:01:07] Martin Winchester says: You earned it.
[17:01:25] Martin Winchester says: There fore you accepted this kind of reward as a payment for your delivery.
[17:01:27] Miguel Escobar says: Can be, but I've no idea of the use.
[17:01:30] Martin Winchester says: Is that correct?
[17:01:49] Miguel Escobar says: Yeah if you state it that way.
[17:01:58] Miguel Escobar says: As I got them for delivering.
[17:02:00] Martin Winchester says: Right, moving to the next question.
[17:02:36] Martin Winchester says: Why would you escape the law enforcement officers at the Palomino Creek farm?
[17:02:57] Martin Winchester says: We were chasing from there until you crashed at Rodeo.
[17:03:10] Miguel Escobar says: I haven't seen you at first honestly, as I was restocking my gas station which I own in Montgomery.
[17:03:18] Martin Winchester says: We warned you to stop by using the megaphone.
[17:03:35] Miguel Escobar says: However, I've seen you near Richman and saw you're rushing to me, where I got scared to get hit.
[17:03:42] Martin Winchester says: We were keeping an eye on you, when we approached you to identify you first you decided to run off.
[17:04:16] Martin Winchester says: Your gas station is at Montogomery, not at Palomino Creek.
[17:04:26] Miguel Escobar says: I didn't hear any identification text, only thing I heard was from Alexander.
[17:04:43] Martin Winchester says: Why did you fail to stop?
[17:04:58] Miguel Escobar says: I was heading to Montgomery, if you were following you might've seen me driving through Montgomery.
[17:05:06] Martin Winchester says: You had nothing major on you and we wouldn't search you over a traffic stop or identification.
[17:05:10] Miguel Escobar says: As I said, I got scared to get hit.
[17:05:38] Martin Winchester says: To get hit from what? From the police that is chasing you relentlessly for a while?
[17:05:46] Miguel Escobar says: I couldn't process what was going on in ky brain.
[17:05:55] Martin Winchester says: I say you quit making up the stories or twisting them.
[17:06:03] Martin Winchester says: Be honest with me and I will be as lenient to you as possible.
[17:06:14] Miguel Escobar says: Yeah, your cruiser was at a good speed as well, I was just at a bike no chance to survive if I crash.
[17:06:26] Martin Winchester says: You know I'm known for draining people out of money in the court of law.
[17:06:40] Martin Winchester says: So speak up before I change my mind, let's keep it as civil as possible.
[17:07:01] Miguel Escobar says: I'm not making stories, you can't force someone's brain to work the way you want. As human, we're all di..
[17:07:01] ..fferent.
[17:07:11] Martin Winchester says: Right.
[17:07:32] Miguel Escobar says: As you've already stated, I didn't have some big amount of illegal contrabands, therefore I wouldn't run..
[17:07:32] .. to save something, right?
[17:07:48] Martin Winchester says: That's correct but you were running because of something else.
[17:07:53] Miguel Escobar says: And you wouldn't even check me over a traffic stop, would you?
[17:08:14] Miguel Escobar says: Negative Officer.
[17:08:30] * Martin Winchester signals Crestet to bring him the file of "[#060325] Miguel Escobar".
[17:08:50] Miguel Escobar says: If I wouldn't get checked, I don't have some big amount of illegal contrabands, I wouldn't run if I didn..
[17:08:50] ..'t get scared or unable to process what's going on.
[17:09:11] * Crestet Cesimir rummages through the cabinets, looking for the casefile corresponding to Miguel Escobar.
[17:09:18] Crestet Cesimir says: There it is.
[17:09:27] Martin Winchester says: We will see.
[17:09:29] * Crestet Cesimir fishes out the casefile, holding it in his right hand,
[17:09:44] * Crestet Cesimir throws the casefile the table.
[17:09:55] Martin Winchester says: Thank you, Detective Cesimir.
[17:10:04] * Crestet Cesimir nods twice.
[17:10:14] Martin Winchester says: So let me ask one question and I want you to truthfully answer this one.
[17:10:31] Miguel Escobar says: There's no point in lying to a detective.
[17:10:36] Miguel Escobar says: I'm aware of that.
[17:10:52] Martin Winchester says: If I search your properties, would I find anything illegal inside the storage?
[17:11:30] Miguel Escobar says: Ahhhhh, I cannot totally assure that.
[17:11:41] Martin Winchester says: Let's say from 6th of March, 2025 until now.
[17:11:51] Miguel Escobar says: From 6th March?
[17:11:54] Martin Winchester says: Yes.
[17:12:13] Miguel Escobar says: There can be something, I'm not a 100 percent sure on this.
[17:12:37] Martin Winchester says: Would that be /something/ illegal by the state law?
[17:12:49] Martin Winchester says: Yes or No.
[17:13:07] Miguel Escobar says: Yes I think.
[17:13:31] Martin Winchester says: Can you think of what kind of illegal thing would we find?
[17:13:37] Martin Winchester says: Just for example let's say.
[17:13:43] Martin Winchester says: I'm listening.
[17:13:46] * Martin Winchester allows Miguel to speak.
[17:13:54] Miguel Escobar says: Unfortunately I can't assure you that.
[17:14:11] Miguel Escobar says: I'm really sorry about it.
[17:14:13] Martin Winchester says: But I can assure you a fifthy percent networth deduction, if that's the case.
[17:14:18] Martin Winchester says: And I'm so sorry about it too.
[17:14:39] Miguel Escobar says: Well, I have a disease of short term memory loss, so yep.
[17:15:02] Martin Winchester says: I will bring a doctor to analyze that.
[17:15:06] Miguel Escobar says: I was getting treatments back in my homeland, Mexico.
[17:15:12] Miguel Escobar says: Sure.
[17:15:37] Martin Winchester says: And if the tests come out negative, I will add another charge in your lenghty list of crimes.
[17:15:52] Miguel Escobar says: Alright.
[17:16:22] Martin Winchester says: Someone with a short term memory loss would be incapable of having such a gigantic cache.
[17:16:31] Martin Winchester says: I find your statement highly unlikely to be the truth Mr. Escobar.
[17:16:47] Miguel Escobar says: Why?
[17:17:05] Martin Winchester says: Someone with a short term memory loss would be unable to accumulate a networth of hundred of million ..
[17:17:05] ..dollars.
[17:17:37] Martin Winchester says: What half baked drivel is this, Mr. Escobar?
[17:18:00] Miguel Escobar says: Well, I don't work for money.
[17:18:15] Miguel Escobar says: I run a company, I have staff to work.
[17:18:20] Martin Winchester says: What kind of company?
[17:18:51] Miguel Escobar says: Group of farmers.
[17:19:04] Martin Winchester says: An agriculture company?
[17:19:08] Martin Winchester says: What's the name?
[17:19:11] Miguel Escobar says: Exactly.
[17:19:22] Miguel Escobar says: Same name as mine
[17:19:26] Miguel Escobar says: Escobar Corporation
[17:20:13] Martin Winchester says: Escobar Corporation.
[17:20:37] Martin Winchester says: So your company is only specialized in agriculture?
[17:21:02] Miguel Escobar says: I also have people to fill my seedshops, for seed supplies.
[17:21:19] Miguel Escobar says: Logistics basically.
[17:22:41] Martin Winchester says: Logistics and agriculture, does Escobar Corporation offer any other sort of service except farming an..
[17:22:41] ..d trucking?
[17:23:10] Miguel Escobar says: We sell vehicles too.
[17:23:24] Miguel Escobar says: Whatever the US government has, we sell them.
[17:23:44] Miguel Escobar says: You can order a vehicle and we'll deliver it to your home as well, if you want.
[17:23:54] Miguel Escobar says: For a certain amount of price.
[17:24:13] Martin Winchester says: The U.S. government has some nuclear weapon and millitary grade equipment and weapons too.
[17:24:16] Martin Winchester says: Do you sell them as well?
[17:24:23] Martin Winchester says: Or possess them, perhaps.
[17:24:34] Miguel Escobar says: US government doesn't allow to sell them haha
[17:24:46] Miguel Escobar says: I can't run a company of nuclear weapons.
[17:24:54] Martin Winchester says: You said you have whatever the U.S. government has.
[17:25:02] Miguel Escobar says: In terms of cars.
[17:25:06] Miguel Escobar says: For normal citizen.
[17:25:17] Martin Winchester says: Ah, so basically your company is a jack of all trades, isn't it.
[17:25:28] Miguel Escobar says: They have tanks too, we don't sell them
[17:25:53] Martin Winchester says: Right so, tell me about the members.
[17:26:07] Martin Winchester says: Provide me the list of your employees in Escobar Corporation.
[17:28:58] * Miguel Escobar hands over the documents of of Escobar Corporation to the officer.
[17:29:33] Martin Winchester says: Much obliged.
[17:30:07] Martin Winchester says: Can you tell me the address of your corporation building?
[17:30:28] Miguel Escobar says: It's in the document as well.
[17:30:37] Miguel Escobar says: Check the second page, please.
[17:30:38] Martin Winchester says: Right.
[17:30:50] Miguel Escobar says: I can't remember the address number.
[17:31:07] Martin Winchester says: Do you handle the logistic branch of your corporation?
[17:31:54] Miguel Escobar says: As I'm the owner, I need to oversee everything.
[17:32:07] Martin Winchester says: Excellent.
[17:32:19] Miguel Escobar says: Though we provide free work environment, people can do works freely.
[17:32:38] Miguel Escobar says: I don't pressurize my employees for certain works.
[17:32:47] Miguel Escobar says: 250$ per crate.
[17:32:59] Martin Winchester says: Alright.
[17:33:31] Miguel Escobar says: The truckers work for my seedshops only, we're not open for the full San Andreas.
[17:33:48] Martin Winchester says: So you are able to oversee a corporation of three specialization while suffering from a short term me..
[17:33:48] ..mory.
[17:34:08] Martin Winchester says: And you precisely remember the price and the members of your company.
[17:34:22] Miguel Escobar says: I have managers and as I already stated, "Free work environment"
[17:34:41] Miguel Escobar says: If I remembered all the members, I wouldn't hand you over the documents of the company.
[17:34:55] Miguel Escobar says: My mouth works, they would tell you the names.
[17:35:28] Martin Winchester says: I say you cut the prevercation and be honest with me.
[17:35:33] Martin Winchester says: You know why?
[17:36:15] Miguel Escobar says: How honest do you want me to be? I handed you over my company's confidential documents.
[17:37:11] Martin Winchester says: I want you honest enough to tell me where did you get all these weapon cases and narcotics that we fo..
[17:37:11] ..und in your properties.
[17:37:43] Miguel Escobar says: Weapon cases and narcotics?
[17:37:54] Martin Winchester says: How much is a sniper case nowadays?
[17:38:13] Miguel Escobar says: I've no idea about it's worth.
[17:38:44] Martin Winchester says: Then how do you possess an arsenal of illegal firearms?
[17:39:11] Martin Winchester says: Do you own a criminal organization? A mafia or gang or whatever?
[17:39:13] Miguel Escobar says: I don't remember how much I had if I had.
[17:39:19] Miguel Escobar says: Negative.
[17:39:23] Miguel Escobar says: I don't own any.
[17:39:28] Martin Winchester says: You are lying.
[17:39:43] Miguel Escobar says: I don't own.
[17:39:48] Miguel Escobar says: Statement won't change.
[17:39:58] Martin Winchester says: Are you in any criminal organization?
[17:40:22] Martin Winchester says: You better not lie about this one.
[17:40:35] Miguel Escobar says: Yes.
[17:41:08] Martin Winchester says: Do you mind repeating the name of the said criminal organization?
[17:41:23] * Martin Winchester has a paper ready in his hand.
[17:41:29] Miguel Escobar says: It has some Las Venturas type name.
[17:41:39] Miguel Escobar says: Venturas Syndicate
[17:42:01] Martin Winchester says: I think you missed something.
[17:42:11] Miguel Escobar says: What exactly?
[17:42:20] Martin Winchester says: Something in middle of the name.
[17:42:35] Miguel Escobar says: Can't recall, if you know it can you state?
[17:42:57] Miguel Escobar says: It's some syndicate of Las Venturas that's what I can recall.
[17:43:30] Martin Winchester says: I wanna hear it from you.
[17:43:45] Miguel Escobar says: Ahhh you're just pressurizing my brain.
[17:43:48] Martin Winchester says: I'm eagerly waiting for you to lie or mislead me in this interrogation so I can keep stacking the Obs..
[17:43:48] ..truction of justice charges
[17:44:07] * Miguel Escobar starts scratching his head.
[17:44:17] Martin Winchester says: Because nine of ten times I know the answer of my questions, I just want to make sure the veracity.
[17:44:25] * Miguel Escobar looks at the ceiling as he tried to remember.
[17:44:29] Martin Winchester says: Ensure*
[17:44:58] Miguel Escobar says: Venturas Crime Syndicate I think, if I'm not wrong.
[17:45:02] Miguel Escobar says: Yes it should be.
[17:45:11] Miguel Escobar says: Am I right?
[17:45:36] Martin Winchester says: You are one hundred percent right.
[17:45:46] * Miguel Escobar takes a deep breath.
[17:45:56] Miguel Escobar says: Man, you force me a lot.
[17:46:07] Martin Winchester says: What's your position within the Venturas Crime Syndicate?
[17:46:53] Miguel Escobar says: Tbh, as my surname I'm from Mexico, I don't hangout with them often.
[17:47:44] Miguel Escobar says: I spend most of the time in Mexico, with my family.
[17:48:22] Martin Winchester says: Right.
[17:48:31] Martin Winchester says: So tell me where did you get 202 cases of Sniper Rifle?
[17:48:46] Miguel Escobar says: 202!!!!
[17:49:01] Miguel Escobar says: Are you sure?
[17:49:25] Martin Winchester says: Yes I'm sure.
[17:49:32] Miguel Escobar says: Or are you taking advantage of my memory.
[17:50:06] Martin Winchester says: Hahaha, okay, how about the RPGs you had in your house?
[17:50:09] Martin Winchester says: Where did you get them?
[17:50:18] Martin Winchester says: I think they are big enough and too explosive to be remembered.
[17:50:22] Martin Winchester says: Any recollections?
[17:50:23] * Miguel Escobar starts scratching the head again.
[17:50:50] Miguel Escobar says: Oh I remember.
[17:51:02] Miguel Escobar says: Osama Mucahit, handed them to me.
[17:51:25] Martin Winchester says: So you are also trading with terrorists of the state.
[17:51:36] Miguel Escobar says: Negative.
[17:52:02] Martin Winchester says: What negative? I raided his terrorist group BCC or BCR whatever back in 2019.
[17:52:15] Martin Winchester says: He is the leader of the said terrorist organization.
[17:52:32] Miguel Escobar says: I don't trade with them, they came with a helicopter and forced me either I store them or I'll be shot d..
[17:52:32] ..ead.
[17:54:24] Martin Winchester says: Okay, well, why you didn't report this to the authorities?
[17:54:33] Martin Winchester says: After storing all those cases.
[17:54:51] Martin Winchester says: What else did Osama Mucahit give you before putting a bullet in your head?
[17:54:53] Miguel Escobar says: I was being checked by them on a regular basis, they're not some illy billies, you know how they protect..
[17:54:53] .. their stuffs.
[17:55:15] Martin Winchester says: After all your memory is not so short.
[17:55:25] Miguel Escobar says: Weapons only, he took keys from me, I didn't hide.
[17:55:36] Martin Winchester says: Alright so weapons only.
[17:55:41] Martin Winchester says: We getting somewhere...
[17:55:57] Miguel Escobar says: Since when does people forget what terrorized them to death, I literally touched death for them.
[17:56:09] Martin Winchester says: Where did you get 30,000 grams of Cannabis Sativa?
[17:56:29] Martin Winchester says: Let's put guns and explosives aside, how about narcotics?
[17:56:38] Miguel Escobar says: Ahhhhh
[17:56:44] Martin Winchester says: I'm sure you know the answer to this question.
[17:56:53] Martin Winchester says: You better not lie in this one.
[17:57:05] Miguel Escobar says: I had a pot which grows some sort of plants.
[17:57:16] Miguel Escobar says: I got that from a furniture store.
[17:57:26] Miguel Escobar says: Near Jefferson.
[17:58:32] Martin Winchester says: Correct, so you singlehandedly produced 30 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa?
[17:59:08] Miguel Escobar says: I don't put the plants on a weight calculating machine.
[17:59:15] Miguel Escobar says: So, I'm not aware of the weight.
[18:00:54] Martin Winchester says: Let's move to the next question.
[18:01:15] Martin Winchester says: So we somehow got over with the guns and narcotics.
[18:01:40] Martin Winchester says: How about miscellaneuos items like marked money? we discovered a pile of marked money in bundles.
[18:02:11] Martin Winchester says: You know how much dollar that was? $1,012,242
[18:02:57] Miguel Escobar says: There's a local buyer of broken cars, who hands me them.
[18:03:08] Martin Winchester says: To be precise, we found it in your property at Jefferson Nr. 303.
[18:03:18] Martin Winchester says: Alright so you confess to committing the crime of Receiving stolen property.
[18:03:22] Martin Winchester says: Added to your list.
[18:03:24] Martin Winchester says: Next question. [CENSORED]
