SUPERVISORY STAFF
Awarded to those who have achieved supervisory duties within the department.
COMMAND STAFF
Awarded to those who have achieved commanding duties within the department.
EXECUTIVE STAFF
Awarded to those who have achieved executive duties within the department.
FIELD ACTIVITY
Awarded to those who have shown exceptional activity while performing their duties in the Department.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Awarded to those who politely and actively interact with the citizens, resolve their problems and help them in any way possible.
EXEMPLARY SERVICE
Awarded to those who perform their duties meticulously and actively with high regard to the image of the Department.
COMMUNITY POLICING MEDAL
Awarded to officers who solve major community problems, involve the community in solutions, show dedication in SAPD community policing philosophy. The award can only be issued by ELS-Precinct personnel and FOB CO.
3-MONTH SERVICE
Awarded to those who have continuously served in the Department for three months.
6-MONTH SERVICE
Awarded to those who have continuously served in the department for six months.
1-YEAR SERVICE
Awarded to those who have continuously served in the department for one year.
2-YEAR SERVICE
Awarded to those who have continuously served in the department for two years.
3-YEAR SERVICE
Awarded to those who have continuously served in the department for three years.
OFFICER OF THE MONTH
Awarded to those who perform extraordinarily in a certain month.
SUPERVISOR OF THE MONTH
Awarded to supervisors who perform extraordinarily in a certain month.
LIFE SAVING
Awarded to those who take action in order to rescue or attempt the rescue of either a fellow officer or any person from imminent danger.
POLICE MEDAL
Awarded to those who distinguish themselves by extraordinary bravery or heroism above and beyond the normal demands of police service.
POLICE STAR
Awarded to those who perform their duties with exceptional judgement and/or utilizing skillful tactics in order to defuse dangerous and stressful situations.
MEDAL OF VALOR
Awarded to those who go above and beyond during their service within the Department, those who are loyal, dedicated, persistent, and on different levels contribute to the development of the Department and its well-being.
PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER MEDAL OF VALOR
Awarded to those who go above and beyond during their service within the Department, those who are loyal, dedicated, persistent and on different levels contribute to the development of the Department and its well being. Rarely issued, and can ONLY be issued by the President and Vice-President.
