IV. Legal Argument

The State asserts that:
• The defendant knowingly possessed and distributed illegal narcotics
• The transaction was completed through a controlled undercover operation
• The defendant demonstrated clear intent through advertisement and communication
• The defendant voluntarily transferred illegal substances during the exchange
• The defendant, being a licensed attorney, had full knowledge of the illegality of his actions

V. Demands

The Prosecution respectfully requests the following:

1. Custodial Sentence
A term of five (5) years imprisonment to be served in a State Penitentiary.

2. Aggravating Consideration
Recognition of the defendant’s abuse of professional status as a state-licensed attorney.

VI. Settlement Offer

In the interest of judicial efficiency, the State extends the following plea agreement:

Conditions for the Defendant
• Enter a formal guilty plea
• Waive the right to trial

Offer by the State
• Reduce imprisonment from five (5) years to three (3) years

Conditions of Validity
This offer shall remain valid only prior to the commencement of trial proceedings.

VII. Closing

The evidence in this case clearly demonstrates that the defendant knowingly engaged in the possession and distribution of illegal narcotics.
The controlled purchase, recorded communication, and signed confession collectively establish the offense beyond reasonable doubt.

Your Honor,

I am a witness for the defendant. Yes, he did tell me about his wife's critical condition. He told me he wanted to get a loan from me so he could get her treatment, but I didn't have much to give because I was struggling financially myself, Your Honor. This man is not a criminal. In fact, he did everything he could to try and save his wife's life. At a time like that, anyone would have done whatever they could to save someone that they love. Mr bottega is a good friend of mine and i respect him very much. He wouldn't have done this if he was financially stable.

State of San Andreas v. Bottega Vottega
Your Honor ,

At approximately 15:48:50 CET, an advertisement was published by phone number 843000 containing the phrase “Selling Xanax and Oxy.” Upon reviewing the MDC, it was determined that the number was registered to Mr. Bottega Vottega. I made contact with Mr. Vottega at 15:58 CET and arranged a meeting in the alleyway behind LSCH.

At approximately 16:10 CET, Mr. Vottega arrived at the agreed location and handed over 6 Percocet pills, 3 Xanax pills, and 5 Oxycodone pills to me. Immediately after the transaction, I unholstered my taser, used it on the suspect and proceeded to detain him. Mr. Vottega was read his Miranda Rights and placed under arrest for violation of SA-PSC § VI.1 – Possession of Illegal Narcotics and Drug-Related Items.

The suspect was then transported to the Detective Bureau Headquarters for processing and interrogation. During processing, the suspect was frisked. However, no additional contraband or any unusual items were found. After processing, the suspect was moved to an interrogation room.

The suspect was cuffed to the desk, and recording devices were placed in front of him before questioning began. During the interrogation, Mr. Vottega stated that he is a State Licensed Attorney. He claimed that the actions he took were motivated by financial need due to his wife’s illness and further stated that the narcotics had been supplied to him by an anonymous friend.

After the interrogation, the suspect was placed in a holding cell. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Vottega is also enlisted in San Andreas National Guards as an Army Recruit.

This concludes my statement.

Sincerely,
Jonathan Hobbs
