[CV-#165]State of San Andreas v. Aman Madej

Post by Simon Riley »

State of San Andreas v. Aman Madej
I. Opening Statement

Your Honor,

On or about 19:30 CET, Detective-I Seyhan Addison of the San Andreas Police Department executed a lawful arrest of Mr. Aman Madej, who was under active surveillance for suspected illegal arms trafficking and was subject to a valid arrest warrant and search warrant.

The suspect was apprehended in front of Kray Stakes Headquarters, Market (Market Main Street).

During an undercover operation, the defendant engaged in the sale of illegal military-grade weaponry, specifically AK-47 assault rifle cases, to an undercover officer. The transaction occurred at approximately 20:53 CET on March 16, 2026, near Los Santos Fire Department Headquarters, adjacent to City Hall.
The total transaction value was $105,000, involving three (3) AK-47 weapon cases.

Following lawful detention and interrogation, the defendant knowingly and voluntarily confessed to the offenses.

Notably, at the time of the offense, the defendant was an active member of the San Andreas National Guard (SANG), aggravating the severity of the conduct.
Search warrants executed at Idlewood and Richman properties yielded no additional contraband; however, this does not negate the completed illegal transaction.

II. Charges

The Prosecution brings forward the following charges under the San Andreas Penal Code (SA-PSC):

SA-PSC § VI.2 Weapons, Explosives, and Military Equipment

III. Evidence (Exhibits)

The Prosecution submits the following evidence:

To the Honorable Trial Judge Steve Anderson,
Your Honor,

My name is Bottega Vottega and I represent the defendant Aman Madej in Case # CV-165. I wish to bring before this court a Motion to Suppress the signed confession listed as Exhibit J in the prosecution's evidence.
I raise three concerns with how this confession was obtained:

Firstly, my client was pressured into signing the document. Officer Addison made it clear to Mr. Madej that "refusing to confess would result in harsher consequences". That is not a free confession that is a forced one.

Secondly, at no point was my client informed of his right to an attorney before signing the document.

Thirdly, Mr. Madej clearly did not fully understand what he was signing, as shown by his own recorded words during the interaction.
I respectfully request this court suppress Exhibit J as inadmissible.
Respectfully,

State of San Andreas v. Aman Madej

To the Honorable Trial Judge Steve Anderson,

You Honor,
The State submits this response in opposition to defense's motion to supress Exhibit J.

I. The confession was voluntarily given

The defense says that the defendant was forced to confess.. When you look at everything that happened it seems like the defendant chose to confess on their own.
When the detective questioned the defendant he discussed the legal consequences and benefits of coopearting with the law. Such statments are legal, and the confession is not considered involuntary. In fact, the courts have always ruled in previous cases that informing the defendatnt about the legal consequences, which may include tougher penalities if case is sent to trial, is not coercion.

There is no showing of any deprivation or pressure on the defendant to make him confess. The defendant answered questions, showed signs of understanding, and even questioned what the detective said.

II. The defendant demonstarted clear understanding.

Moreover, the defendant showed he understood the situation and the docuemtn he signed.
During the interrogation, the defendant answered questions, disputed some statements, and even questioned what detective said about the potential outcomes. The back and forth exchange shows he understood what was being said to him.

When presented with the confession, the defendant does not demonstarate any hesitation which might suggest a lack of understanding. Rather, he actively participates in the dialouge with the officer, asks about the consequences, and agrees to sign. This demonstrates a knowing a intelligent waiver of his rights.

III. Independent evidence establishes the offense

Assuming arguendo, that Exhibit J is not admissible, the case against the defendant is robustly establish by indenpendent and compelling evidence.

Exhibit D, as a recorded voice communication, clearly captures the defendant agreeing to sell AK47 cases, negotiating a price of $35,000 per case and discussing a meeting location.

Exhibit E clearly establishes a controlled purchase in which the defendant agrees to accept a total of $105,000 and delivers three AK47 cases in successive transcations. The dialogue is direct, immediate, and leaves little room for misinterpretation.
In total, the evidence in Exhibits D and E clearly establishes possession and distribution of illegal weaponry, as a result of complete and document transaction.

IV. Conclusion

In light of the aforesaid, the state respectfully requests that the court deny the denfense's motion to suppress Exhibit J.
Furthermore, even in the absence of the confession, the evidence against the defendant independently and convincingly establises his criminal conduct.

Signed,
Simon Riley
