I have known that I wanted to work as a deputy sheriff since I was a child when I saw my grandfather go to work as a deputy sheriff himself each day in the small town where we lived. Watching him serve the community and keep people safe inspired me to want to serve my community in the same way.
As part of my path to this career, I chose to volunteer as a youth deputy many years ago. I went on ride-alongs and helped keep the squad car clean. As a result, I learned about what it takes to be a good deputy sheriff and affirmed my commitment to this field. Let's say you don't really want to work in a big city. Maybe you think that you'd be more comfortable working in a suburban jurisdiction, or you just don't like the city that forms the hub of the metropolitan area you live in. But the police forces of incorporated suburban municipalities tend to be kind of small, which means that there's less opportunity for upward mobility. - What do you hope to contribute to the San Andreas Sheriff's Department? As a Future Law Enforcer, my contribution to the organization nothing but my skills and Dedication to my work in securing the lives of every people for the betterment of the community
