3. SKILLS AND MOTIVATION
- Personality Traits: I describe myself as dependable and easy-going, but strict when the situation demands it. I'm capable of withstanding considerable stress and I can communicate properly with various types of public thanks to my experience in the public service. I am also a safe driver, well trained in defensive driving skills and capable to maintain a cool head behind the wheel.
Within the weaknesses I may be too perfectionist and sometimes have high expectations from fellow colleagues that used to affect my performance at work. I am actively working on it through peer discussion and through understanding that each person is different, and focusing on delivering quality work instead was a much better choice than chasing endless perfection or focusing on other people's jobs. - Skills and Abilities: As a seasoned professional driver, I am well versed in defensive driving skills, cool head behind the wheel and vehicle management.
I'm capable of de-escalating complex situations without or with use of force thanks to my training and experience in SAHP and professional driving. Clear communication is also one of my fortes as I have a good grasp of the English language but also of other languages like Italian, and can easily communicate in stressful situations thanks also to my experience in SAHP (e.g. in high-speed pursuits). - Why do you wish to join the San Andreas Sheriff's Department? I've arrived in the United States from Italy around ten years ago and since then I've been working different jobs, trying to find something that would allow me to be of service to others and also provide for a livable income. I've went through jobs such as waiter and courier, all the way to bus driver at times. I've learned a lot from these jobs but serving others in these always had some limitation and was never broadly defined.
This search then led me to getting an interest in Law Enforcement and finally join the San Andreas Highway Patrol. My work in the SAHP has structure, high responsibilities and proper training, dealing mainly with highway enforcement such as traffic stops, pursuits, checkpoints and assisting other departments when specifically requested. Naturally, SAHP is geographically limited in terms of jurisdiction and the work is much more traffic-oriented.
Even though I'm taking my job seriously and want to continue it, I realized that my interests extend beyond highway-only operations and the Sheriff's Department really stood out as a highly professional department that is much closer to the community in the counties and generally all over San Andreas, with a much wider scope and several specialized units. I'm particularly interested in the latter, that would allow me to be exposed to different situations and operations where I can make full use of my capabilities or gain new ones. - What do you hope to contribute to the San Andreas Sheriff's Department? I hope to contribute as a Deputy that is reliable and very well capable of adapting to various situations. In SAHP I learned how to work well alone, in team and also with other Departments, as well as respecting jurisdiction properly. I learned how to keep a cool head in complex situations and de-escalate them when needed. I also hope to contribute my various skills and abilities in driving, communication and LEO training to the service of others within the counties and in general to all the San Andreas citizens. I'm looking to have a career in SD that would allow me to gradually multiply my ability to be of service to the greater public.

- Do you have any prior law enforcement or emergency services experience? If yes, please elaborate: I have experience in RPing as Law Enforcement in GTAW (SD), LSRP (PD) and RCRP (I believe it was State Police at that time). In regards to real-life I don't have law enforcement experience but I was an emergency paramedic in the Italian Red Cross for four years.
