What motivates me towards SAHP is the kind of work they do across the entire state. I've been part of SAPD for a good while now, working in investigations and SWAT, so I've seen how important highway presence really is. SAHP handles that responsibility well and that's something I'd like to be part of.
I've always preferred proper structure and clean execution and SAHP has that during patrols and especially pursuits. It's a unit where professionalism and precision actually matter. That's something I genuinely respect and would like to contribute to and give my best.
I'm also interested in setting up checkpoints and helping keep the highways safe from reckless drivers or crime. Being part of a unit that moves with purpose and knows what it's doing feels like a step forward for me. If given the chance i will make sure to contribute really well for the department.
I understand, i'm part of another LEA but i'll make sure to manage time and contribute equally on both the sides and perform well!
B. How would you describe yourself (in full sentences)?
I'd say I'm someone who enjoys responsibility and staying active. Right now I'm in SAPD as a Lead Detective and also a Senior Operative in SWAT, so I'm pretty involved in both investigations and tactical stuff. I also work as an instructor in both departments, which I enjoy a lot. It's great being able to help others grow while still learning things myself. I would like being part of a team where everyone knows their role, which is hosting checkpoints and battling the highway-side crimes aswell be a polite trooper when interacting with citizens and ensuring their safe journey. I focus on quality over quantity when it comes to patrols and decision-making. I'm consistent, communicative and always willing to follow structure and help fellow agencies. I'm also confident in traffic stops, radio use, and pursuit coordination. I prioritize protocols and always available to help out fellow on-duty officers/off-duty officers. I believe that if given the opportunity, I'll make the most of it and contribute my best to the department!! I'm free to provide any further details/clarifications (if required)
