UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
Plaintiff,
v.
Piper Lynch
Defendant.
I. OPENING STATEMENT
Your Honor,
Today, the Department of Justice, through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, presents this case before the Court to address a breach that compromised the integrity of our national defense. We reaffirm that the security of this nation is neither incidental nor expendable.
On April 26th, Ms. Piper Lynch, hereinafter referred to as the Defendant, a credentialed journalist of the news agency, "State and Nation News", knowingly and willfully trespassed onto a federally restricted military fortified base where unauthorized access is not allowed. However, she did so without clearance or consent, and with the intent to photograph and document military vehicles and the surroundings of the base for public dissemination.
This case is not about silencing the press, it is about boundaries, it is about the responsibility we all share, regardless of profession, to respect the laws safeguarding the U.S. military. Ms. Piper Lynch deliberately bypassed physical security and recorded sensitive areas in direct violation of federal laws designed to safeguard our military infrastructure.
Today, we will demonstrate that this was not a mere mistake or misunderstanding, but a deliberate act, a moment where journalistic curiosity disregarded lawful restriction and crossed into criminal conduct of espionage.
Your Honor, the Defendant, Piper Lynch, has willingly signed a written confession to the FBI, acknowledging her unlawful actions, and the evidence supporting this case is both substantial and undisputed, such as the exhibited affidavit under III. EVIDENCE, which includes Piper Lynch's voluntarily written and attested testimony in the presence of the federal investigators. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has established a clear and irrefutable case against the Defendant. There is no room for doubt, only the need for the Court to render the appropriate judgment.

[16:16:03] Piper Lynch says: They are in my article
[16:16:12] Piper Lynch says: So then
[16:16:35] Piper Lynch says: There was another huntley vehicle at the airport runway, a dark green type of color
[16:16:55] Piper Lynch says: Remember this huntley vehicle
[16:16:56] Piper Lynch says: So
[16:17:07] Piper Lynch says: Along with the same black FBI rancher vehicle from LSPD HQ, of course
[16:17:51] Piper Lynch says: Later, the same huntley and FBI rancher vehicle was spotted inside NG's base at ocean dock
[16:18:02] Lance Garnet says: Really?
[16:18:06] Piper Lynch says: They were parked properly
[16:18:13] Piper Lynch says: Yea, all the images is in my article
[16:18:16] Lance Garnet says: Inside or outside of the gate?
[16:18:19] Piper Lynch says: Inside
[16:18:22] Lance Garnet says: Pause.
[16:18:37] * Lance Garnet double taps on the laptop and navigates to the browser.
[16:18:46] * searches for the latest articles posted from SNN. (Lance Garnet)
[16:22:49] Lance Garnet says: Interesting, the same vehicles with the same colors and the same license plates ended up at National Guard..
[16:22:49] ..'s Ocean Docks base?
[16:23:08] Piper Lynch says: Yea
[16:23:13] Piper Lynch says: You know what does it say
[16:23:21] Lance Garnet says: What?
[16:23:34] Piper Lynch says: There are rogue units in the National Guard who is behind this kidnapping
[16:23:41] Piper Lynch says: You know
[16:23:46] Lance Garnet says: Right one moment, before I forget.
[16:24:10] Piper Lynch says: Sure, let me know when I can continue
[16:24:23] Lance Garnet says: Do you remember when you took these photos from the Ocean Docks base of National Guard?
[16:24:41] Lance Garnet says: I need a time in CET.
[16:24:45] Piper Lynch says: Uh
[16:24:47] Piper Lynch says: Hold on
[16:24:57] Lance Garnet says: How many minutes later you took these photos?
[16:25:09] Lance Garnet says: This is important to figure out the timing perception.
[16:26:27] Piper Lynch says: 18:15 and 18:16 CET
[16:27:19] Lance Garnet says: So you took a photo of the FBI Rancher with "ARMY" plate, parked at the Ocean Docks base of National Guard..
[16:27:19] .. at 18:15-18:16 CET?
[16:27:29] Lance Garnet says: On the 26th of April, on the same of governor's abduction?

[16:28:32] Lance Garnet says: This is not a regular chit-chat, I have to send a thorough report of findings to the U.S. Senate.
[16:28:40] Piper Lynch says: Right, my bad.
[16:28:42] Lance Garnet says: I ask once more.
[16:28:45] Lance Garnet says: So you took a photo of the FBI Rancher with "ARMY" plate, parked at the Ocean Docks base of National Guard..

[16:29:40] Lance Garnet says: Yes.
[16:29:43] Piper Lynch says: No
[16:30:15] Lance Garnet says: Ah, so that means you were all by yourself when you witnessed and took those photographs from the Ocean Do..
[16:30:15] ..cks base of NG?
[16:30:26] Piper Lynch says: Yes
[16:30:33] Lance Garnet says: That makes it a little bit harder to prove.
[16:30:45] Piper Lynch says: A thing can prove it
[16:30:45] Lance Garnet says: Do you have anything additional to add? So we can perhaps confirm the veracity of this.
[16:30:53] Piper Lynch says: The CCTV cameras
[16:30:55] Piper Lynch says: At that base
[16:31:53] Piper Lynch says: So can I continue?
[16:31:53] Lance Garnet says: We need a consolidated legal basis to establish this claim.
[16:32:08] Piper Lynch says: The CCTV cameras isn't enough?
[16:32:17] Lance Garnet says: Unless...
[16:32:33] Piper Lynch says: I'm sure the CCTV Cameras at ocean base surely capturing those vehicle exiting and coming back
[16:32:45] Piper Lynch says: captured*))
[16:32:54] Lance Garnet says: Hmm...
[16:33:06] Lance Garnet says: Do you think the CCTV footage will also show your presence at the base?
[16:33:13] Piper Lynch says: Yes, it will.
