Because my grandad was working under the FD and he left me while I was young and he said one day I'll be like and work like him

Being a Firefighter is fundamentally about courage, teamwork, and a deep commitment to serving the community. It means being ready at a moment's notice to face dangerous and unpredictable situations, from raging fires that threaten lives and homes to complex rescue operations. It involves intense physical and mental demands, requiring individuals to be strong, agile, and able to remain calm under extreme pressure. Firefighters are not just about putting out fires; they are skilled in emergency medical response, hazardous materials handling, and public education on fire safety. They forge strong bonds with their crew, relying on each other's skills and trust in life-or-death scenarios. It's a profession driven by a selfless desire to help others, often putting their own well-being at risk to protect the lives and property of those in need.
Alternatively, being a Paramedic is about being a highly skilled first responder, a mobile emergency room providing critical medical care in chaotic and often distressing environments.
