3. SELF ASSESSMENT ESSAYS
- Why do you wish to join the National Guard?: A great commitment has always been drawn to me by the firm values of discipline and structure and service as applied to law enforcements and military. In just the same way SAPD and local police departments handle crime at the community level, I believe the National Guard serves an even larger purpose. The state guards its citizens against destructive threats while maintaining law and order and protecting citizens in emergencies and crises.
I take pride in my good work ethics, mental strength, and ability to remain calm in a highly stressful or a situation of total uncertainty, and I feel that these characteristics, together with my autistic attitude and clear fixation on goal accomplishment, equip me to face the challenges and very demanding nature of such a profession. - What makes you different than other candidates?: In fact, I pride myself on being a self made person as I believe every step achieved by me stands as symbol of hard work and dedication for my journey. I have got associated with understanding how to tackle busy situations with self-confidence and determination along with maintaining calmness under immense pressure and focus on solutions. Further, advanced skills in leadership and weaponry tactics were developed, deemed necessary by me for mission-critical team operations under pressure. These characteristics, together with a commitment to constant improvement, are the driving force that would enable me to add value toward National Guards' mission and effectiveness.
