The reason I want to be a part of SAFD is because I really want to help people and be there when they need it most. I want to be a part of a team that has each other's back and the community as well. Fighting fire isn't just a job it's a commitment to life, to facing danger head on and to make a difference every day.
Describe with your own words, what does it mean to be a Firefighter or alternatively, a Paramedic [Minimum 50 words]:
Being a firefighter, one has to step up when everyone is running away from the situation. That's about saving lives at the cost of your own safety, and while as a team, and when the going gets tough. Not all being all about fighting fires, its about helping people in the worst way. It does take courage, heart, and a real dedication to serve no matter what.
