I. OPENING STATEMENT

The San Andreas Police Department has assigned Martin Winchester to prosecute multiple violators in this legal proceeding with the objective of holding a joint trial for the following individuals (joinder defendants): Gusino Zuan, Aiden Reed, Vincent Macroni, Colm O'Driscoll, and Neon King.
Ladies and gentlemen of the court, today we stand before you in the pursuit of justice for the people of San Andreas. The case before you is rooted in the integrity of our laws and the protection of every consumer who depends on them;
*Operation: FuelCheck* was established with a clear purpose: to ensure regulatory compliance, uphold safety standards, and protect the hard-earned money of our citizens. In this particular phase of the operation, gas stations were identified as a critical area of concern due to their susceptibility to fraud and safety risks. The evidence will show that the defendants, despite clear warnings, willfully violated Article SA-PSC IX.7: State-Mandated Fuel Prices for Gas Stations.
This law is not arbitrary as it exists to shield our residents from exploitation, ensuring fair and lawful pricing for essential goods like fuel. When the defendants failed to comply after being notified and given an opportunity to correct their violations within 24 hours, they chose to put profits above the law.
Today, the prosecution will present the findings of the state-wide search conducted by the San Andreas Police Department Detective Bureau, proving not only the violations but also the defendants’ disregard for their responsibilities under the law. By imposing monetary fines on those who failed to adjust their pricing as required, we send a clear message: in the great state of San Andreas, no one is above the law, and consumer trust will not be betrayed.
