ROSTER INFORMATION
An Officer's badge number has the purpose of identifying the employee to the public.
The badge must be worn at all times on active duty for the public to have a clear identification of the officer.
Once the officer has finished the training program, he will be promoted to the rank of officer and be assigned a badge number.
The badge number will stay with the officer from the beginning of his career to the end of it, the badge number following to be retired after the employee no longer serves in the force.

The Police Commissioners are appointed officials by the U.S. Congress who are usually a retired (Deputy) Chief and they have the powers and the duties given by the congress to ensure stability and unity of the department and are the last point of contact in the chain-of-command and will directly report and represent the department to the congress.

The Chief of Police (CoP) is the general 'developer' and 'manager' of the Police Department, the CoP is responsible for the planning, efficient administration, and operation of the Police Department. The Chief formulates departmental policies, regulations, goals, and program priorities along side the Police Commissioners, the Chief enforces these and are expected to be followed by every member of the department. Ensures compliance with all laws which the Department or its officers have the authority to enforce. The Chief of Police has full authority over the San Andreas Police Department and all of its divisions.
RIGHTS: The Chief of Police has all rights of the positions below him in the chain of command, as well as rights to overrule decisions and determine the paths of the department. The Chief of Police is also the official representative of the SAPD to the public, and he may do it either himself or assign a member of the Command or of the SAPD to do it at occasional spots. Has the right to issue administrative decrees with the approval of the Police Commission.

Assistant Chief of Police

The Assistant Chief of Police is the secondary rank next to the CoP in the Police Department and reports directly to the Chief of Police. When the CoP is absent, for any reason, the assistant chief assumes that role and takes full command of the Police Department. In the absence of the Chief, the assistant is responsible for making any day-to-day decisions that the Chief makes.
RIGHTS: The Assistant Chief has the same rights as the Chief of Police, with the sole exception that he responds to the Chief of Police in all necessary decision-making. The Assistant Chief temporarily assumes the C.O.P. position in the absence of the C.O.P. for more than 72 hours. The Command Consultant is the consultant to the Executive and Command staff, usually a previous CoP or someone who had wide experience in other fields of Law Enforcement. Command Consultants have the field authority equivalent to a Police Commander, a rank that is below the Deputy Chief. They provide valuable advice to the Executives and Command members to ensure quality and stability within the department's leadership. Consultants are appointed by the Police Commissioners.

They often supervise specific work shifts, give directives to subordinates about new or revised policies. Lieutenants join forces with their subordinates and supervisors to prevent crime and enforce laws, and work in police stations and out in the field.
The Lieutenant is the main field force of the Command Staff of the SAPD - therefore, this position requires a high level of activity.

PERFORMANCE MARKERS: Lieutenants are evaluated on how efficiently they supervise their assigned Bureau. Performance markers are given accordingly to the quality of their work and their monthly reports to the captain of the department. A Lieutenant collects a statistical report of their Bureau each week where important data are represented. They're required to write a detailed report of the Bureau's progression throughout the month if they met upon issues, possible solutions, or changes they may require to operate in its most efficient way. The Lieutenant has to meet this criterion in order to be eligible for promotion, consistent failure to do so will result in demotion.
A.O.B. Commander: The Lieutenant of the Bureau sends a statistical report on the progression of their divisions. For example; how many academy graduates we had the last week, how many discharges (resigned/fired); current issues of the divisions, or concerns they may have; possible solutions and suggestions; summary of the progression of the bureau and its divisions.

The entry rank to the Supervisory Staff. The Sergeant rank is given to those who have shown interest in proceeding their career towards a supervising aspect, you will be trained in supervisory duties, such as organizing your fellow officers and friends during the day, babysitting your fellow officers should the need arises, and overall try to mold them into a cohesive unit and be sure they perform their work efficiently. Only those with a long stay in the department will be able to be promoted to this position. For you to make a good Sergeant, you must be able to set your emotions aside and be impartial. The sessions are to be documented and presented as a report on appropriate boards for Staff Sergeant to review. Constant negligence of said duties will result in the relegation of rank. Though, consistent upkeep of duties may make you eligible for the promotion.

This is the rank assigned to the Cadets whose performance is satisfactory to move further into their career. As a Probationary Officer you have been trained in the basic of law enforcement, and you are trusted with a uniform, a precinct, a cruiser, and overall the ability to think with your own mind and conduct your duties as a Probationary Officer and the freedom to perform your duties alone. These Officers have recently passed the academy or rejoined the department and are still getting used to the department. Probationary officer may not join any divisions during their probationary period of one month.
RIGHTS: Probationary Officer serve as the first entry rank after graduating from the Academy. They possess the ability to lead and take charge of Volunteers and Cadets when proficient personnel isn't present to guide and organize them. They have the right to seize illegal substances and weaponry as well.
PERFORMANCE MARKERS: Probationary Officers are evaluated on how quickly they've developed their theoretic knowledge and set it into practice. Those with the potential to guide Volunteers and Cadets are always considered ahead of the rest. Upon joining the department, the rank of Cadet is going to be the first significant achievement in the hierarchy of the group that a normal player can obtain. This is the entry rank for people whose applications get successfully reviewed and accepted by the staff of the SAPD. As a Cadet, their only responsibility right now is to pass the academy, trying to learn notions about police work itself, that can range and not be necessarily limited to community policing, firearm usage, and driving techniques. Upon passing a period that is deemed satisfying by the Academy Staff, they get promoted to the rank of a Probationary Officer.
Volunteer
An individual who is not usually a police officer, but likes to lend a hand whenever available. They are the backbone of the police department itself as it is from this fodder that new officers get sworn in, and as such, they are treated as an important asset.
